HAYES TOWNSHIP August 31, 2023 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Jones called the Special Meeting to order at 1:00 p.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Jones, Trustee Buckley, Trustee Teall, Treasurer Rood, and Clerk Hoyt Motion Rood/Buckley to approve agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) Discussion on properties with abatement orders. Motion Rood/Hoyt permission for Treasurer Rood to contact attorney regarding ownership on property as the owner of property is deceased and the complaint/abatement order is in the name of the resident at the property. All Ayes, Motion carried Motion Jones/Rood for Trustee Teall to join Treasurer Rood in call with attorney regarding the above request. All ayes, motion carried. Meeting recessed at 1:24 p.m. Meeting resumed at 1:48 p.m. New Business Motion Teall/Hoyt to award the following bids to Property Cleanup LLC:  5420 Mohawk Drive - $7,150.00  5330 Pointview Drive - $7,750.00  4953 Woodsdale Street - $7,150.00 Roll call vote: Jones – aye, Buckley – aye, Teall – aye, Rood – aye, Hoyt – aye.
