HAYES TOWNSHIP November 9, 2023 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Jones called the Special Meeting to order at 3:00 p.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Jones, Trustee Buckley, Trustee Teall, Treasurer Rood, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent - None. Motion Teall/Rood to approve agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) New Business Motion Hoyt/Rood to enter a closed session to discuss a confidential written legal opinion under MCL 15.268(1)(h) related to cemetery matters. Jones – aye, Buckley- aye, Teal-aye, Hoyt- aye. Motion carried. Motion Jones/Teall to resume special board meeting. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Rood to negotiate with family and lot owner regarding cemetery issue and to work with the township attorney to finalize details with the family. All Ayes, Motion carried. Discussion items Point Broadband Cranberry Lake Rd. additional paving Public Comment Motion Jones/Rood to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried.
