HAYES TOWNSHIP December 11, 2023 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Jones called the General Meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Jones, Trustee Buckley, Trustee Teall, Treasurer Rood, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent - None Motion Teall/Buckley to approve agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) Community Reports • County Commissioner • Lake Boards Motion Teall/Rood to approve the following board minutes: • November 20, 2023 General meeting All Ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Teall approve bills to be paid. All Ayes, motion carried. Department Reports • Supervisor • Treasurer • Clerk New Business Motion to Jones/Buckley to approve Harrison Fire Department contract $124,155.46. Roll call vote: Jones – aye, Buckley – aye, Teall – aye, Rood – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. Motion Teall/Rood to approve mobile phone service/phones for all board members, assessor ,and zoning administrator – approximately $250/month. Ayes – 4, Nay -1 Motion Hoyt/Rood to approve Adobe Acrobat Pro annual renewal $259.08. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Jones/Rood to approve attendance of Treasurer Rood and Clerk Hoyt to MTA 2024 Capital Conference - $85 per person, approximate mileage $133.00. All ayes, motion carried. Board of Review training, after discussion this training is not needed as the current Board of Review members have taken this training. Motion Hoyt/Teall to approve STT Security for Presidential Primary election - $550.50 (same as November 2022 costs). All ayes, motion carried. Board meeting dates for 2024 – after discussion of meeting dates, a resolution will be prepared for the next board meeting per MCL 41.72a. Motion Jones/Buckley to approve Summitt Alarm monitoring contract $363.00. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Rood to approve Guardian Waster Water/ SCS Systems annual maintenance agreement $500.00. All ayes, motion carried. Discussion Items • Airport warning siren – since the siren was purchased with donated funds, Hayes Township officials have no problem with Jerry Backer determining the disposal of the outdated siren that is no longer working.
