HAYES TOWNSHIP February 29, 2024 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Clerk Hoyt called the General Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present –Trustee Buckley, Trustee Teall, Treasurer Rood, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent - Supervisor Jones Motion Rood/Hoyt to approve agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) Community Reports • Clare County Commissioner Gabe Ambrozaitis • Clare County Road Commissioner Bill Simpson Motion Teall/Buckley to approve February 13, 2024 General Board meeting minutes. All Ayes, motion carried. Motion Rood/Teall to approve Consent Agenda • Bills to Be Paid • Bills Paid Prior • Treasurer Report All Ayes, motion carried. Department Reports • Supervisor • Treasurer • Clerk • Zoning New Business Motion Hoyt/Teall to approve Consumers Energy easement for electric facilities agreement for the property located at 3180 N. Clare Ave. and authorize Treasurer Rood to sign the agreement. Roll call vote: Buckley – aye, Teall – aye, Rood – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Rood to approve Consumers Energy connection for the property located at 3180 N. Clare Ave. in the amount of $3,275.20. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Teall/Rood to approve electric installation bid for 3180 N. Clare Ave from Heckman Electric. In the amount of $532.00. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Teall/Buckley to approve Kelly’s Tree Service bid for tree removal - $1,450 for tree removal on the trail and $500 for tree removal at the cemetery. All ayes, motion carried.
