HAYES TOWNSHIP March 18, 2025 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Powell called the Special Meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Powell, Treasurer Cavanaugh, Trustee Buckley, Trustee McKay, Clerk Hoyt Members absent - None Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to approve the agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) New Business Motion Hoyt/McKay to hire Maintenance Technician position as application reviewed and person was interviewed. Roll call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh -aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/Hoyt to approve wage rate at $19.00/hr., with a .50/hr. raise after 90 days of employment and a successful evaluation; also, this employee will be eligible for COLA increase in FY 25-26 and another evaluation will be performed at 6 months of employment by the Supervisor. Roll call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh -aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. Public Comment – questions were taken and answered. Motion Powell/Cavanaugh to adjourn.
