HAYES TOWNSHIP March 25, 2025 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Powell called the General Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Powell, Trustee Buckley, Trustee McKay, Treasurer Cavanaugh, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent. - None Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to approve the agenda as presented to the board. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) Community Reports • County Commissioner Motion McKay/Buckley to approve the following minutes: • March 11, 2025, General Board minutes • March 18, 2025 Special Board minutes All Ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to approve the Consent Agenda • Bills to Be Paid • Bills Paid Prior • Treasurers Report All Ayes, motion carried. Department Reports • Supervisor • Treasurer • Clerk • Trustees • Building Committee • Zoning • Digital Communications New Business Motion Hoyt/Cavanaugh to approve Intergovernmental Agreement with Clare County regrading hosting of Early Voting and Ballot Programming Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/Hoyt to approve BS&A card payment system, to be made available in the Treasurers’ office only. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Cavanaugh to approve the following for Fy 25-26: • STG website hosting renewal $800 • STG Website upgrade to ADA compliant Platinum Package $2,895 Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. • Motion Hoyt/Cavanaugh to approve purchase of books from Michigan Association of Planners approximately $406 plus shipping. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Buckley to approve truck repair quote from Erskine Auto $3,594.39. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to approve to remove Maye Rood from the Building Committee. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to place on hold the Enforcement Team as no court cases currently pending and to suspend the Enforcement Team pay effective the pay period beginning April 6, 2025.
