HAYES TOWNSHIP May 27, 2025 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Powell called the General Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Powell, Trustee Buckley, Trustee McKay, Treasurer Cavanaugh, and Clerk Hoyt Members absent. - None Motion Buckley/Cavanaugh to approve the agenda as presented to the board. All Ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to approve American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE) membership for Supervisor Powell $100. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Cavanaugh to approve Michigan Township Association: • Membership renewal of $3,256.85 (last year $3,033.01) • Premium Pass MTA Online Learning $1,900 (last year ($1,900) All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/McKay to approve Tru Green lawn maintenance proposal • Township Hall $248.40 (last year $240) • Soccer Field $1,875.42 (last year $1,510) • Authorize Supervisor Powell to work on scheduling. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/Buckley to accept Assessors Annual Report. All ayes, motion carried. Motion McKay/Powell to adopt Resolution 24-17 Planning Commission and Zoning Fee schedule. Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – nay. Resolution 24-17 is adopted. Motion Cavanaugh/Buckley to adopt Resolution 24-18 for speed study on Hamilton Road. Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Resolution 24- 18 is adopted. Motion Cavanaugh/Hoyt to approve Sign Image quote for annual maintenance on outdoor sign $422. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to approve Ordinance 24-03 Hayes Township Golf Cart Access Ordinance. Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Ordinance 24-03 is adopted. Motion Hoyt/Cavanaugh to adopt Ordinance 24-04 repeal of Hayes Township Golf Cart Access Ordinance 24-01. Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Ordinance 24-03 is adopted.
