HAYES TOWNSHIP June 10, 2025 UNAPPROVED MINUTES Supervisor Powell called the General Meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. at the Hayes Township Hall, 2055 E. Townline Lake Road. Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Members present – Supervisor Powell, Treasurer Cavanaugh, Trustee Buckley, Trustee McKay, Clerk Hoyt Members absent - None Motion Cavanaugh /McKay to approve the agenda. All Ayes, motion carried. Public Comment on agenda (The Hayes Township Board allows 3 minutes per person for public comment) Community Reports • County Commissioner • Planning Commission Motion Cavanaugh/Buckley to approve May 27, 2025, General Board meeting minutes. All Ayes, motion carried. Motion McKay/Buckley to approve the bills to be paid. Ayes, motion carried. Department Reports • Maintenance • Supervisor • Treasurer • Clerk • Trustees New Business Motion Cavanaugh/McKay to adopt of the revised Earned Sick Time Act (ESTA) policy. Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Revised ESTA policy is adopted Motion McKay/Cavanaugh to approve Zoning and Code Enforcement job description. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/Buckley to approve the new membership rates. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/Powell to approve posting/publishing request for sealed bid for black dirt. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Cavanaugh to approve posting/publishing request for sealed bid-demolition of tennis courts. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Cavanaugh/Hoyt to approve the IT support contract (Black Rock Technologies). Roll Call vote: Powell – aye, Buckley – aye, Cavanaugh – aye, McKay – aye, Hoyt – aye. Motion carried. Motion Hoyt/McKay to approve position change in clerk’s office, effective 7/1/2025. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Hoyt/Powell to approve termination of MyGlue password manager software. All ayes, motion carried. Motion Powell/Hoyt to approve budget workshops dates. All ayes, motion carried.
