Meeting Called to Order A meeting of Harrisonburg Parks & Recreation Advisory Commission was held on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 7 p.m. via GoToMeeting. Kevin Gibson called the meeting to order with the following commission members present: Sandra Bopp, MuAwia DaMes, Chance Ebersold, Kevin Gibson, Obie Hill, Deanna Reed and James Logan. Present from Parks and Recreation: Brian Mancini and Connie Lawson. I Welcome - Kevin Gibson welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. II. Approval of May Meeting Minutes- Obie Hill requested that a typo be fixed in the minutes. MuAwia DaMes motioned to approve the minutes as amended. Chance Ebersold seconded the motion. All members present voted in favor of approving the May 17, 2021 minutes as amended. III, Director’s Report-Brian Mancini gave a verbal director’s report. . VI. Event Attendance & Advocacy Opportunities-No current events. Brian Mancini asked the Commission to continue to be advocates for Parks & Recreation programs. VII. General Public Comments - Could not access Parks-CustomerService emails. Brian Mancini will be sent a list of any comments received to share with the commission. VIII. Next PRAC Meeting - No meeting in July, next meeting will be held at the Lucy F. Simms Continuing Education Center on August 16, 2021 at 7 p.m. VIIII.
