HCEDC Type B AGENDA ITEM REPORT MEETING: HCEDC Type B - 25 Sep 2024 CONTACT: Gary Hulsey, Mayor DEPARTMENT: Administration SUBJECT: Discuss Tennis Court Park Bank HCEDC Process to acquire authorization to expend funds: ATTACHMENTS: AGENDA ITEM REPORT - HCEDC EXECUTIVE SUMMARY BACKGROUND INFORMATION:  HCEDC publishes notice of a public hearing to discuss the use of funds for this project in the official newspaper for the City of Haslet, the Fort Worth star Telegram.  HCEDC holds the public hearing on the published date.  After 60 days from the date of the public hearing, the HCEDC project is presented to the City Council for approval.  After City Council approval of the project, HCEDC may expend funds on the project. Page 22 of 23  Agenda Item #6.6.4. AGENDA ITEM REPORT BACKGROUND INFORMATION HCEDC wishes to request information on how to proceed with the Tennis Court Park Bench Project. ANALYSIS: 1. The HCEDC Adopts a resolution in accordance with the HCEDC Bylaws Article 4, Section 4.05(2). 2. After the Resolution, the HCEDC will publish a Notice of Public Hearing on the Project, and 3. Hold the public hearing on the published date, in accordance with Local Government Code 505.159. 4. The Resolution will then be submitted to the City for placing on a City Council Agenda. 5. The City Council will either approve or disapprove the Resolution. 6. Upon approval by the City Council, the HCEDC may expend the approved funds for the project in accordance with Local Government Code 505.160, after: 1) Sixty (60) days have passed since the public hearing, and 2) No petition has been submitted to the City within the sixty day period.
