City of Haslet Agenda Library Board Meeting Thursday, September 18, 2025 @ 6:00 pm Haslet Public Library, 100 Gammill Street Notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the Haslet Library Board to be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 6:00 pm, at the Haslet Public Library, 100 Gammill Street, for the purpose of considering the following agenda items: Page 1. CALL TO ORDER AND ANNOUNCE A QUORUM PRESENT 2. CITIZENS PARTICIPATION AND COMMENTS An opportunity for citizens to address the Library Board on matters which are on the agenda or are not scheduled for consideration (non-agenda items). The Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits deliberation by the Library Board of any subject which is not on the posted agenda, therefore the Library Board will not be able to discuss or take action on items not listed on this agenda, other than to make statements of specific factual information or to recite existing policy in response to the inquiry. NOTE: In order to address the Library Board during this time, or later in the meeting for any item that is scheduled on the agenda, please complete, and submit a speaker card to the Board's Secretary prior to the start of the meeting. The presiding officer may ask the speaker to hold comments on agenda items until that agenda item is reached. 3. ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST Any expressions of thanks, congratulations, or condolence; information regarding holiday schedules; honorary recognitions of city officials, employees, or citizens; reminders about upcoming events sponsored by the city or other entity that is to be attended by a city official or employee; and announcements involving imminent threats to the public health and safety. 3.1. The Movie in the Park will be held Friday, September 19, 2025 featuring The Wild Robot at Nance Field. Food trucks open at 6:30pm and the movie begins at dark. Bulk Trash Pickup is now being picked up on the first and third Wednesday of the month. 4. CONSENT AGENDA Consent items are deemed to need little Board deliberation and will be acted upon as one business item. Any member of the Library Board may request that an item be withdrawn from the Consent Agenda and placed before the Library Board for full discussion. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the Chair, or her's designee, to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendation. Library Director - Library Director Kelly Turner presented possible new library logo with different fonts. She mentioned it still needs to be approved by the mayor. Non- resident cards were mentioned as a possible future council agenda item. B. Board Chair - Board Chair Candy Letica informed the board of Marietta Slater’s resignation. National Night Out will be Tuesday, October 7th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. The board will operate the duck pond game. C. Board Members - None 7.
