Bennett Pavilion ATLANTIC BEACH Hempstead Town Hall CEDARHURST In Attendance: FLORAL PARK Carl Bassler, Village of Atlantic Beach Larry Hopenhauer, Executive Director GARDEN CITY Kurt Langjahr, Village of New Hyde Park LAWRENCE Sean Wright, Village of Valley Stream MALVERNE The meeting was called to order and all recited the Pledge of Allegiance. NEW HYDE PARK • The minutes of the meeting for March 25, 2019 were STEWART MANOR presented for approval. Motion was made to approve by Kurt Langjahr and VALLEY STREAM seconded by Sean Wright. Motion passed unanimously. WOODSBURGH • Budget: Motion made by Larry Hoppenhauer to pass the 2019-2020 budget. Motion to approve made by Sean Wright and seconded by Kurt Langjahr. Motion passed unanimously. (Brief discussion noting the decrease in the “Office Expenses” section of the budget due to the fact that postage/paper is no longer used. All correspondence for TVASNAC is emailed.) • There is a need for more representation from TVASNAC Village Representatives with regard to participation and attendance • FAA: TVASNAC would like to have a representative from the FAA as a guest at a future meeting. They have honored this request in the past, however, new administration has changed policy. Discussions will be had with high level government officials to help facilitate their participation, hopefully in the near future. It would be beneficial to have an informational session regarding the day to day statistics. Larry had asked for a representative from the FAA to discuss runway selection. Requesting to. Minutes of Meeting Page 2 view data for consecutive days of runway use with hours of operation, wind directions and wind speed • LI Herald Article dated 4/4/19: “Nassau County Aviation Committee to combat Jet noise” Plane Sense is initiating a group called Nassau County Aviation Committee which will provide a platform for residents to address jet noise. Discussion ensued. • NYCAR: The April 24th meeting was cancelled. It has not been rescheduled yet. This organization includes both the FAA and PA at each meeting, however, there are additional groups that require representation that are not included at the round table. • Aidan Hughes, Community Liaison for Assemblywoman Judy Griffin: Will have a status update on state legislation next month • Suggestion made by Kurt Langjahr to update the accomplishments TVASNAC has made and advise the communities. A motion to adjourn was made by Kurt Langjahr and seconded by Carl Baessler. Motion passed unanimously.
