CITY OF HENDERSON CITY COUNCIL MINUTES REGULAR MEETING Wednesday, October 19, 2016 I. CALL TO ORDER xMayor called the Regular Meeting to order at xStartTime, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 240 Water Street, Henderson, Nevada 89015. II. CONFIRMATION OF POSTING AND ROLL CALL The City Clerk confirmed the Regular Meeting had been noticed in compliance with the Open Meeting Law by posting the Agenda three working days prior to the meeting at City Hall, the Multigenerational Center, the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, Fire Station No. 86, the Nevada Public Notice Website, the City of Henderson Website, and by mailing a copy of the Agenda to everyone appearing thereon on the Agenda Master Mailing List. xRollCall III. UNFINISHED BUSINESS UB-1 VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY BLUE STAR MOTHERS PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Approve Finalize and approve details about Blue Star Mothers volunteer opportunity. UB-2 SELECT A COMMISSION MEMBER TO LEAD AND ORGANIZE THE BLUE STAR MOTHERS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Approve Designate a commission member to lead the Blue Star Mothers volunteer event to ensure all members are aware of his or her role for Blue Star Mothers and informed of all relevant information. UB-4 LEADERSHIP DAY - THEME PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Approve Discuss and recommend a theme for Leadership Day. UB-5 LEADERSHIP DAY - T-SHIRT COLOR AND DESIGN PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Approve Discuss and recommend t-shirt color and potential designs for Leadership Day. UB-6 LEADERSHIP DAY - SLOGAN PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Approve Discuss and recommend a slogan for Leadership Day. UB-7 LEADERSHIP DAY - INVITATIONS FOR EVENT PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Approve Discuss and recommend the format of the invitation to Leadership Day, who should receive a formal invitation to Leadership Day, and which members will take charge of ensuring this task is completed by an appropriate date. NEW BUSINESS NB-9 WELCOME NEW ADULT MEMBER, LUKE ADAMO, TO THE BLUE RIBBON COMMISSION PUBLIC WORKS, PARKS AND RECREATION Introduce and welcome new adult member, Luke Adamo, to the Blue Ribbon Commission.
