CITY OF HENDERSON CITY COUNCIL MINUTES COMMITTEE MEETING October 7, 2014 I. CALL TO ORDER Mayor Pro Tem Schroder called the Committee Meeting to order at 5:50 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 240 Water Street, Henderson, Nevada 89015. II. CONFIRMATION OF POSTING AND ROLL CALL The City Clerk confirmed the Committee Meeting had been noticed in compliance with the Open Meeting Law by posting the Agenda three working days prior to the meeting at City Hall, the Multigenerational Center, the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center, and Fire Station No. 86, and by mailing a copy of the Agenda to everyone appearing thereon on the Agenda Master Mailing List. ITEMS OF BUSINESS C-1 BILL NO. 2940 ZCO-12-500112-A2 SOLITAIRE AT SOUTHSHORE APPLICANT: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND LEVEL DEVELOPMENT Bristol Ellington, Assistant City Manager, introduced and read this Bill by title: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HENDERSON, NEVADA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2869, THE ZONING MAP, TO RECLASSIFY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY, DESCRIBED AS A PORTION OF SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 21 SOUTH, RANGE 63 EAST, M.D.B. & M., CLARK COUNTY, NEVADA, GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF STRADA DI CIRCOLO AND MEZZA LUNA COURT, IN THE LAKE LAS VEGAS PLANNING AREA, FROM RS-1-G-MP-H (LOW-DENSITY RESIDENTIAL WITH GAMING, MASTER PLAN AND HILLSIDE OVERLAYS) TO RS-6-G-MP-H (LOW- DENSITY RESIDENTIAL WITH GAMING, MASTER PLAN AND HILLSIDE OVERLAYS), AND MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO. Stephanie Garcia-Vause, Director of Community Development and Services, said this zone change has met the conditions of approval. (Motion) Councilman Sam Bateman moved to refer Bill No. 2940 to the Regular Meeting with a do-pass recommendation. C-6 BILL NO. 2945 AMEND HENDERSON MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 7.04.020 FEES CITY ATTORNEY'S OFFICE Bristol Ellington, Assistant City Manager, introduced and read this Bill by title: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF HENDERSON, NEVADA, TO AMEND SECTION 7.04.020 – FEES - OF THE HENDERSON MUNICIPAL CODE AND MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO. Josh Reid, City Attorney, stated that this amendment to the Henderson Municipal Code is to amend the City fees that are charged for animal-related services. He also noted that a business impact statement was submitted at the last meeting.
