CITY OF HENDERSON PLANNING COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING AGENDA Thursday, September 12, 2024 Council Chambers 4:00 PM 240 Water Street Meeting Inquiries: (702) 267-1500 Henderson, Nevada 89015 For those requiring special assistance or accommodation to participate in this meeting, arrangements for a sign language interpreter should be made as soon as possible, but no later than 72 hours before the scheduled meeting. Please contact the Community Development and Services office at (702) 267-1500 or TTY: 7-1-1, at least 72 hours in advance to request a sign language interpreter. The Chair reserves the right to hear agenda items out of order, combine two or more agenda items for consideration, remove an item from the agenda, or delay discussion relating to an item on the agenda at any time. Public comment will be taken on each agenda item as it is heard, with the exception of Consent Agenda items, which will receive public comment if an item has been requested to be pulled for comment or discussion. Public comment will also be taken during the designated Public Comment period. Individuals will be limited to three (3) minutes and spokespersons for a group will be limited to ten (10) minutes at the discretion of the Chair. The Chair reserves the right to curtail abusive, offensive, inflammatory, or repetitive comments that disrupt, disturb, or otherwise impede the orderly conduct of the meeting. See NRS 241.030(4)(a). Examples of disruptive conduct include, without limitation, yelling, stamping of feet, whistles, applause, heckling, name calling, use of profanity, personal attacks, intimidation, threats, or any other comments intended to impede the meeting or infringe on the rights of the Henderson Planning Commission, City staff, or meeting participants. The Planning Commission's recommendation on agenda items addressing comprehensive plan amendments, zone changes, development agreements, vacations, and any other applications on the agenda that are combined with those items, are forwarded to the City Council for review and decision. All other items will receive final action by the Planning Commission unless otherwise noted. Appeals of final decisions by Planning Commission must be submitted to the Director of Community Development and Services within nine (9) calendar days of the notice of final action to the City Clerk. If the ninth day falls on a City-observed holiday or a City Hall non-business day, the appeal period is extended to the next regular City working day. Appeals of final decisions will be forwarded to City Council for consideration. Waiver request from Development Code standards to: a) reduce the required side setback from 10 feet to 5 feet and b) increase the maximum combined square footage for all accessory structures on the property from 3,615 square feet to 4,067 square feet, located at 1090 Rose Quartz Road in the Paradise Hills Planning Area.
