City Council Meeting

OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS CITY OF HERREID, SOUTH DAKOTA OCTOVER 3, 2022 The Herreid City Council was called to order by Mayor, Gary Weismantel, on the above date at 7:30pm at City Hall. The following members were present: Mayor Weismantel, R. Rossow, L. Fuehrer, K. Rossow, A. Dupper, and P. Weisbeck. Also present were: A. Haar, Finance Officer; B. Vanvugt; Maintenance, Peter Adair, IMEG. Moved by A. Dupper, seconded by K. Rossow to approve the agenda. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Moved by A. Dupper, seconded by R. Rossow to approve minutes for September 7, 2022 meeting. All members present voted aye, motion carried Moved by R. Rossow, seconded by L. Fuehrer to approve September Claims-Usual & additional. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Sherriff’s Report-none Problem Resolution Forms-none Building Permits-none Public Comments-none Pool Surplus-Moved by R. Rossow, seconded by K. Rossow to approve Brenda Larson’s bid of $501.00 for the pool slide. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Pool Certification for Brett-Motioned by K. Rossow, seconded by R. Rossow to send Maintenance Personnel to Certification class on October 24&25. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Peter Adair- Peter with IMEG presented he was working on a report for funding the water system. Macquire Iron states the water tower is in fair shape, with the recommendation of painting it and adding new door & latches in the next few years. Rural Water tested the pressure in town-which is showing that it is low on the north side. There is no committal yet stated Peter, but also stated we could add a booster-which would raise the pressure everywhere in town. Don Bruce-flooring samples for the finance office-A. Haar to ask him to bring samples over. Web Water Resolution-2nd reading-Moved by K. Rossow, seconded by A. Dupper to approve water resolution. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Budget-2nd reading-Motioned by A. Dupper, seconded by L. Fuehrer to approve. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Maintenance Report-B. Van vugt states he is preparing equipment for winter, and is open to advice for the upcoming snow season. Finance Report-A. Haar stated delinquent accounts & which ones were up for shut off. A. Haar states visits at home & calls to personal cell is not acceptable. The next regularly scheduled Council meeting will be Monday, November 7, 2022 at 7:30pm. With no further business, motioned by A. Dupper, seconded by L.
