March 13, 2024 Special Meeting

OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS CITY OF HERREID, SOUTH DAKOTA SPECIAL MEETING March 13, 2024 The Herreid City Council was called to order by council Mayor Gary Weismantel on the above date at 6:37pm at the Herreid Community Center. The following members were present: A. Dupper, K. Rossow, B. Rossow, B. Vander Vorst, and P. Weisbeck with council member L. Fuehrer being absent. Also present were K. Hall, Finance Officer; Bret Van Vugt, Maintenance. Others present were Dianna Mittleider, Town & Country Gals; John Thorson, Dakota One Coating. Moved by Dupper, seconded by K. Rossow to approve the agenda. All members present voted aye, motion carried. Public Comments: None Old Business: Surplus Items– Tabled New Business: Community Center Painting– Heard from John Thorson of Dakota One Coating concerning the project of repainting the exterior of the Community Center. The discussion included not only exterior painting options but also interior painting and resurfacing the floors. Following discussion, the consensus was to have Thorson give the city a quote on all three options individually as well as a bundled quote. Thorson will submit the quote so that the council could discuss at their next meeting. No action was taken.
