The Pledge of Allegiance was repeated by all present. Present were:, Council members, Mike Barth, Bruce Hart, Ron Jones, Ron Beverly & Mike Headley; Solicitor, Troy Essex and Clerk/Treasurer, Diane Collins. Absent were: Councilmember, Mick Pocratsky and Administrator, Kent Miller, The meeting was called to read legislation proposing to re-zone the property at 530 North Main Street, a/k/a Lots 5, 6 & A pt. and 7 pt. of Shepards and Summers Addition in a timely manner. Beverly suggested we turn down the re-zoning request so the property stays zoned single family. Essex pointed out Mr. Bontrager could still build a single home re-zoned as R3. Jones reiterated there is no storm sewer to tie into. Essex stated that zoning issues are about what is the best use and match for the neighborhood and even if the re-zoning got approved he could still meet those requirements. Barth moved to deny the rezoning request. Beverly seconded. All voted yes. Headley made a motion to adjourn. Hart seconded. All voted yes.
