__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, May 18, 2020 The Common Council Meeting , which was a remote meeting with attendees appearing via phone designated with (p), was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 7:00 PM. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Administrator Adam Sonntag replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Rick Hanke(p), Garth Hitselberger(p), Tom Hotek(p), Mark Lankey(p), Darrow Novy(p), Pat Moen(p), Elizabeth Parish(p), and Randy Seeley(p) present. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Adam Sonntag, Police Chief Patrick Clark, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman(p). Motion by Hanke, second by Lankey to approve the Common Council Meeting minutes from April 20, 2020 and April 30, 2020. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, second by Hotek to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, second by Moen to approve Pay Application #6 to Terra Engineering & Construction for the Dam Project ($128,769.00). Motion carried. Motion by Novy, seconded by Parish to accept the bid from Allen Steele Co., Inc. ($70,616.41) for the Water Ave. Lift Station Project. Motion carried. Motion by Novy, seconded Moen to approve the Professional Services Agreement with MSA Professional Services for the Elm Ave. Reconstruction Project. Motion carried. Motion by Seeley, seconded Hanke to approve the Professional Services Agreement with MSA Professional Services for the FVM Lake Park Project. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, second by Moen to approve the COVID-19 Small Business Response and Reopen Grant Program. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Hitselberger to approve Ordinance #01-2020 – Annexation and Incorporation of Former Airstrip Land. Motion carried. Motion by Seeley, seconded by Novy to approve Ordinance #02-2020 Procedure for Operator’s License Issuance. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Hanke to adjourn at 7:23 PM. Motion carried.
