City Council Meeting

_____________________________________________________________________________________ SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES THURSDAY, JUNE 4, 2020 Mayor Greg Kubarski called the Common Council meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 4, 2020. Mayor Kubarski asked if the meeting was properly noticed to which Administrator Sonntag replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Rick Hanke, Garth Hitselberger, Mark Lankey, Patricia Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish present. Tom Hotek and Randy Seeley were absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Adam Sonntag and Police Chief Patrick Clark. Public participation was accessible through dial in conference call. The Common Council reviewed and discussed an Emergency Proclamation issued by the Mayor that prohibits gathering of more than 50 people on city-owned property through July 3, 2020. After discussion, a motion was made by Moen, second by Lankey to ratify the Emergency Proclamation as presented by the Mayor. Motion carried. Hitselberger opposed. The Common Council requested to review the Emergency Proclamation periodically for repeal, extension, or amendment. Motion by Moen, seconded by Hanke to adjourn at 7:35 P.M. Motion carried.
