City Council Meeting

_____________________________________________________________________________________ SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES TUESDAY, JULY 14, 2020 Mayor Greg Kubarski called the Common Council meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020. All stood and recited the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Kubarski asked if the meeting was properly noticed to which Administrator Sonntag replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Rick Hanke, Garth Hitselberger, Patricia Moen, Darrow Novy, Elizabeth Parish, Tom Hotek and Randy Seeley were present. Mark Lankey was absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Adam Sonntag, Police Chief Patrick Clark, Nicolette Naumann of the HSE, Curt Bisarek, and Jason Oetzmann. The Common Council reviewed and discussed a proposal to pave the school parking lot, including storm water runoff plans. After discussion, a motion was made by Hanke, second by Moen to recommend the parking lot plans do not discharge the west 50% of the parking lot runoff to the Hill Ave. ravine and direct the runoff to the west. Motion carried. Motion by Parish, second by Moen to confirm Jackie Johnson as the Hillsboro Library Director. Motion carried. Motion by Parish, seconded by Moen to adjourn at 7:33 P.M. Motion carried.
