City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ SPECIAL COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, 2022 Mayor Greg Kubarski called the Special Common Council meeting to order at 7:28 PM on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Council members present at the time the meeting was called to order were Rick Hanke, Garth Hitselberger, Tom Hotek, Mark Lankey, Pat Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish. Randy Seeley was absent. Others present included: City Administrator Josh Finch via phone, Treasurer Lisa Johnson, Police Chief Pat Clark, Nicolette Nauman of the HSE, Hillsboro Librarian Jackie Pysaranko, Street Employee Mike Burch, City Engineer Rob Uphoff, and Leanne Beyer. Mayor Kubarski asked if this meeting received proper public notice to which Treasurer Lisa Johnson confirmed that the meeting did receive proper notice. Motion by Hotek, second by Hanke to approve Resolution #1-2022 EDA Grant Matching Agreement. Motion carried. Police Chief Pat Clark addressed the council the need to purchase a new squad at this time versus in 2023 due to a seven-to-nine-month lead time to acquire vehicles. Clark presented the council with several options to which he recommended a Ford Police Interceptor Utility Hybrid Bid Item F37A for $35,869. Motion by Parish, second by Moen to purchase Chief Clark’s recommendation Police Interceptor Utility Hybrid Item F37A for $35,869. Motion carried.
