City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, February 21, 2022 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 7:04 PM. All present rose and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel confirmed the notice was properly posted. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Darrow Novy, Garth Hitselberger, Thomas Hotek, Mark Lankey, Pat Moen, Elizabeth Parish, Randy Seeley, and Rick Hanke present. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Chief Patrick Clark, Streets Supervisor Joe Haugh, Leanne Beyer, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Hitselberger to approve the January 17, 2022 Common Council Minutes and February 8, 2022 Special Common Council Minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Parish to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Novy, seconded by Hotek to approve Professional Services Agreement between MSA Professional Services, Inc. and City of Hillsboro for the 2022 Hillsboro Dam Inspection in the amount of $3,300. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Lankey to approve the Memo of Understanding between County of Vernon and the City of Hillsboro for the Statewide Voter Registration System in the amount of $700 to be paid in two equal installments. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Parish to adjourn at 7:08 P.M. Motion carried.
