City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, April 18, 2022 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 7:00 PM. All present rose and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel confirmed the notice was properly posted. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Rick Hanke, Darrow Novy, Garth Hitselberger, Thomas Hotek, Mark Lankey, Pat Moen, via phone Elizabeth Parish, and Randy Seeley present. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Chief Patrick Clark, Mike Burch, Librarian Jacqueline Pysarenko, and via phone Leanne Beyer. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Hitselberger to approve the March 21, 2022 Common Council Minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Hanke to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Hitselberger, seconded by Lankey to approve Operator License #8-2022. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded with Hitselberger to approve the Sick Leave Donation Policy with the following amendment that donated hours cannot be used as quid pro quo. Motion carried. Motion by Moen, seconded by Hitselberger to approve the Façade Improvement Grant Program. Motion carried. Motion by Hitselberger, seconded by Hanke to approve Ordinance #01-2022 Ordain and Adopt the Vernon County Ordinance on Emergency Management, Vernon County Emergency Operations Plan, and designate an individual to represent the City to work in conjunction with the Vernon County Director. Motion carried. Librarian Jacqueline Pysarenko was present to give an update on the Hillsboro Public Library. Motion by Hitselberger, seconded by Hanke to adjourn at 7:27 P.M. Motion carried.
