City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, August 15, 2022 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 7:00 PM. All present stood and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Leanne Beyer, Rick Hanke, Thomas Hotek, Patricia Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish, present. Mark Lankey and Randy Seeley were absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, City Treasurer Lisa Johnson, Librarian Jacqueline Pysarenko, Curt Bisarek, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Moen, second by Novy to approve the July 18, 2022 Common Council minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Novy to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Treasurer Lisa Johnson presented the Savings and Investments Annual Report (June 2021- May 2022). Motion by Hanke, seconded by Beyer to approve the Combination Class B Fermented Malt Beverage and Liquor Retail License for Williams Bar, LLC-Michelle Hastings Agent. Motion carried. Motion by Beyer, seconded by Hotek to accept the Baraboo River Canoe/Kayak Launch Project Bid Package as presented. Motion carried. Librarian Jacqueline Pysarenko would like City Leaders to participate in a Library Reading which will be held during Trick or Treating hours on Saturday, October 29th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Motion by Moen, seconded by Hanke to approve the Special Park Use Permit for St. Joe’s 5K & 10K Run/Walk on October 15, 2022. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Hanke to adjourn at 7:45 P.M. Motion carried.
