City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, February 20, 2023 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 7:00 PM. All present stood and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons via phone Leanne Beyer, Thomas Hotek, Mark Lankey, Patricia Moen, Darrow Novy, Elizabeth Parish, and Randall Seeley present. Richard Hanke arrived at 7:02 P.M. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Chief Patrick Clark, Streets Employee Mike Burch, Librarian Jacqueline Pysarenko, Dana Stanek with the Hillsboro Chamber, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Parish, seconded by Hotek to approve the January 16, 2023 Common Council minutes. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Moen to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Moen to approve the Rezoning Application Request from Johnson & Meza to rezone parcel no. 236-00701-0000, located at the corner of Heights Road and Water Avenue (102 Heights Road) from Conservancy to Commercial-1 District to construct a farm/agriculture structure. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Moen to approve Pay Application #2 for the Baraboo River Canoe/Kayak Launch Project in the amount of $36,377.94 to Janke General Contractors, Inc. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Moen to accept the proposal submitted by Scott Construction, Inc. in the amount of $99,951.00 for the Klondike Avenue project. Motion carried. Motion by Moen, seconded by Hotek to adjourn at 7:09 P.M. Motion carried.
