City Council Meeting

__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES Monday, March 20, 2023 The Common Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Greg Kubarski on Monday, March 20, 2023 at 7:00 PM. All present stood and recited the Pledge of Alliance. Mayor Kubarski asked for affirmation of proper public notice to which City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel replied, “Yes”. Roll call was taken with Alderpersons Leanne Beyer, Richard Hanke, Thomas Hotek, Mark Lankey, Darrow Novy, Elizabeth Parish, and Randall Seeley present. Pat Moen was absent. Others in attendance were: City Administrator Joshua Finch, City Clerk Sheila Schraufnagel, Chief Patrick Clark, Vernon County District Attorney Timothy Gaskell, and Hillsboro Sentry Editor, Nicolette Nauman. Motion by Hotek, seconded by Beyer to approve the February 20, 2023 Common Council minutes. Motion carried. District Attorney Gaskell spoke briefly in regards to the April 4, 2023 Spring Election. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Hanke to approve the monthly bills for payment. Motion carried. Motion by Hanke, seconded by Novy to approve the Lease Agreement between the City of Hillsboro and 40 Rods Racing, LLC. Motion carried. Motion by Lankey, seconded by Hotek to adjourn at 7:32 P.M. Motion carried.
