__________________________________________________________________________________ COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES TUESDAY, June 14th, 2022 Mayor Greg Kubarski called the Committee of the Whole meeting to order at 7:03 PM on Tuesday, June 14th, 2022. Committee members present at the time the meeting was called to order were Mark Lankey Rick Hanke, Leanne Beyer, Tom Hotek, Randy Seeley, Pat Moen, Darrow Novy, and Elizabeth Parish appeared via phone. Others present included: City Administrator Josh Finch, Police Chief Pat Clark, Streets Lead Joe Haugh, and Nicolette Nauman of the HSE. Mayor Kubarski asked if this meeting received proper public notice to which Finch confirmed that the meeting did receive proper notice. Motion by Hanke, second by Hotek, to approve the May 10th, 2022, Committee of a Whole meeting minutes. Motion carried. Safety and Welfare Chief Clark presented the Police Chief’s Report. Chief Clark noted that there were 190 total calls in the month of May. Chief Clark mentioned the lifejacket storage container was finished and placed by the water to be used. Improvements and Services Finch presented to the Committee an update regarding the Road Reconstruction Project. Finch provided an update about the pool with the intent to open June 27th. Finch discussed the sidewalk bid provided by S&S Concrete. The committee recommended moving to Council for approval at the next council meeting. Finch discussed two possible ordinance changes. One regarding fence setbacks and mutual fence agreements and another pertaining to the size of a temporary use structure (such as a small prefab tool shed) to be allowed without the need for a building permit. The committee recommended moving to Council for approval at the next council meeting. Finance and Personnel The committee reviewed the bills and recommended the bills for Council approval on the next council meeting. Administrator Finch presented his administrator’s report. Lastly, Finch provided an update regarding the WEDC CDI Grant and the need for a resolution. Motion by Hanke, second by Beyer to adjourn at 7:52 PM. Motion carried.
