Village Board Meeting Minutes August 11, 2020 Present: Mayor Lee, Trustees Zabelny, Fowler, Fay, (Trustee Speer on speaker phone for a short time) Village Manager/Clerk Shari Pearce Absent: Trustee Speer Mayor Lee called an executive meeting to order at 9 a.m. with the pledge of allegiance followed by a moment of silence. Trustee Speer was on the phone for a few minutes, he was disconnected by the Mayor. Trustee Speer stated he was a willing participant. Resolution made by Trustee Fowler to enter executive session to discuss an employee discipline matter at 9:00 a.m. Trustee Fay seconded the motion, carried 4-0. Resolution made by Trustee Fowler to exit out of executive session at 10:45 a.m. Trustee Fay seconded the motion, carried 4-0. Church request: Life Quest Church requested to use the Ingham room and gym when weather will not allow them to conduct their services outside. They also requested a rent reduction to reflect the decrease usage. Resolution to allow Life Quest Community Church to use the Ingham room and gym when weather does not allow them to hold services outside by the Gazebo. The board hereby reduces the church’s rent by 25% to reflect the decrease in usage of the Community Center. Motion made by Trustee Fowler, seconded by Trustee Fay. Carried 4-0. Resolution to hold the Village Elections at the Community Center, 59 Henry St, on September 15, 2020. Resolution if any Village employee tests positive for COVID-19, to return to work, they must have a release from their primary care provider stating they are clear to work. If an employee has been exposed to anyone that has symptoms or tests positive, per CDC guidelines, they must quarantine for 14 days. The time will be paid and not counted as sick time.
