MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY CITY OF HOBART, LAKE COUNTY, INDIANA November 22, 2017 Call to Order: Mayor Snedecor called the meeting to order at 3:33 p.m. followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Roll Call: The following members were present: Mr. Lain, Mr. Ehrhardt, and Mayor Snedecor. Also present: Attorney DeBonis and C-T Longer. Approval of Agenda: Motion by Mr. Ehrhardt, seconded by Mr. Lain, to approve the agenda as presented. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) New Business: Resolution 2017-10: A Resolution Determining the Lowest Responsible and Responsive Bidder and Award of Contract for the Purchase of One (1) Diesel-Powered Automated Refuse Truck: The resolution was read. Attorney DeBonis reviewed the resolution, which awards the bid to Best Equipment Company of Indianapolis in the amount of $251,989.00. Mr. Linhart, Best Equipment Co., was present and stated that the truck is ready. Motion by Mr. Lain, seconded by Mr. Ehrhardt, to adopt Resolution 2017-10 as presented. All aye, motion carried. (3-0) Announcements: There were no Announcements. Adjournment: Motion by Mr. Ehrhardt to adjourn the meeting. All aye, motion carried.
