CITY OF HORICON COMMITTEE OF WHOLE MAY 27, 2014 The Committee of Whole of the City of Horicon met in regular session on May 27, 2014. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Neitzel at 6:00 p.m. Alderpersons present: Hady, Marschke, Pahl, Miller, Plautz, and Fausett. Alderpersons absent: None. The purpose of the Committee of Whole meeting was to conduct orientation with City Attorney Douglas Plier. His review included the Handbook for Wisconsin Municipal Officials published by the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. Attorney Plier conducted a brief review of the following:  Vacancies  Quorums  Committee/Council Voting Requirements  Veto Powers of the Mayor  Open Meeting Law  Meeting Notice Requirements  Public Records  Closed Session Meetings  Amending Motions  Use of the City Attorney An opportunity was provided to ask questions.
