CITY OF HORICON PERSONNEL & FINANCE November 16, 2020 The Personnel & Finance Committee met in regular session. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Chairperson Susan Hady. Members Present: Hady, Frami and Miller. Members Absent: None. Public Appearances: None. Motion by Frami, second by Miller, to approve the October 15, 2020 minutes. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Hady, second by Miller, to approve payment of 30 minutes regular time for Scott Giesen, Department of Public Works employee for October 21, 2020. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Discussion on Water/Wastewater Employee Vacancy the committee has agreed that we need to fill this as soon as possible. Discussion on Public Works Employee Retirement of Todd Midto after 30 plus years of service. Motion by Hady, second by Miller, to hire Delynn McDermott as an Independent Contractor to assist and train the new Municipal Court Clerk. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Frami, second by Hady, to approve the bills for October 2020 in the amount of $792,107.87. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Personnel & Finance’s next meeting will be Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall. Non-Action Discussion: - Chief Adamson talked about his tentative retirement date of April 11, 2021 and the process of filling the position. - Jacobson stated that the Election went very well.
