City of Horicon Public Safety Committee Minutes August 9, 2022 The Public Safety Committee meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. by Chairman Richard Marschke. Members Present: Marschke Fenske, Remy. Members Absent: None. Motion by Remy, second by Marschke, to approve the July 12, 2022, minutes. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Public Appearances: None. Monthly Reports: None. East Lake Street Task Force Update: None. Discussion on speed bumps for Birchcrest Road and Chandler Street with a rough cost in the amount of $3,000 to $4,000 per bump. Motion by Remy, second by Marschke, to approve speed bumps on Chandler and Washington Streets contingent on resources available. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Motion by Remy, second by Fenske, to approve a development of a Chicken Ordinance. Voting Aye: Remy and Fenske. Voting Nay: Marschke. Motion carried. Discussion on wrong-way drivers on East Walnut Street. Discussion on proposing lowering speed limit on West Lake Street to 25 to 35 near John Deere. More information is needed. Motion by Marschke, second by Fenske, to approve 2-Year Operator License to Kaleb Herrick, Kristian Donovan, and Nicole Kannass, and 1-Year Operator License to Stephanie Vanlerberghe. All voting Aye. Motion carried. Set next meeting date for Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Building. Motion to adjourn by Marschke, second by Remy. All voting Aye.
