Anyone wishing to speak on items not on today’s agenda, may do so during PUBLIC COMMENTS. (3 MINUTES PER PERSON, NO DONATING OF TIME TO OTHERS) Anyone wishing to speak during PUBLIC COMMENTS may do so in one of three ways: 1. IN PERSON- Attend in person and raise your hand when public comments are called upon. 2. REMOTELY VIA ZOOM- Attend via Zoom and use the "raise your hand" icon in Zoom when public comments are called upon. The person running the zoom will call you by whatever name or phone number you are logged in as. 3. Denny Bacon will present BLT items for discussion. Page 2 of 6 CIAB/Public Works Commission AGENDA March 16, 2022 CONSENT CALENDAR 22-221 2022 Arterial Rehabilitation Project, CC-1639 Recommended Action: Motion to approve that the 2022 Arterial Rehabilitation Project, CC-1639 is in general conformance with the previously approved CIP. Alternative Action(s): Deny approval and recommend an alternative action. Analysis: The project segments include Adams Avenue, Edinger Avenue, Saybrook Avenue, Newland Street, Springdale Street, Warner Avenue and Brookhurst Street as stated above. All segments aside from Brookhurst Street, which will only include hardscape improvements south of Adams Avenue, will receive a 20 year design life for street improvements. All pavement segments will have a wearing surface course of rubberized asphalt concrete. Manholes, survey monuments, and water valve assemblies will be adjusted to grade and traffic loops and striping will be replaced. Improvements also include limited replacement of concrete curb, gutter, sidewalk, trees, and access ramps where needed. The Brookhurst Street improvements south of Adams Avenue will replace existing Pine Trees that have damaged surrounding hardscape. The Engineer’s Estimate for this project is $5,944,000. Recommended Action: Motion to include the McCallen Storm Drain Trash Removal Project, CC-1588, is in general conformance with the proposed Capital Improvement Program. Attachments: Attachment 1_Vicinity Map Attachment 2_Engineers Estimate 22-200 Traffic Signal Modification at Warner Avenue and Ash Lane. Recommended Action: Motion to approve the project for the traffic signal modification at the intersection of Warner Avenue and Ash Lane (CC-1670) and find that the project is in general conformance with the approved FY 2021/2022 Capital Improvement Program . Recommended Action: Motion to approve the project for the traffic signal modification at the intersection of Main Street and Delaware Street (CC-1671) and find that the project is in general conformance with the approved FY 2021/2011 Capital Improvement Program . Attachments: Vicinity Map Template - Storm Water Forebay FY 21-22 Storm Water Pump Station Forebay Construction Cost Estimates 22-220 Fiscal Year 2022/23 Capital Improvement Program. Recommended Action: Motion to recommend to the City Council the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2022/23 Capital Improvement Program.
