IOWA COLONY PLANNING COMMISSION
MINUTES OF AUGUST 7,2018
Members present: David Hurst, Steve Bradbery, Steven Byrum-Bratsen, and Les Hosey
Members absent: Vince Patterson
Others present: Mayor Holton, Dinh Ho, Kent Marsh, Ron Cox and Stan Winters
Work Session- 6:00 P.M.
The work session was called to order. Stan Winters with Jones Caner introduced Scott with Height
Design to give the presentation regarding Sierra Vista Greenbolt cart path plan. Questions and
suggestions were provided by the Planning Commission. Work Session was adjourned.
Meeting- 7:00 P.M.
1. David Hurst cat led the meeting to order at 7:48 P.M.
2. Consider approval of the July 10, 2018 minutes. Steven Byrum-Bratsen moved to approve the
minutes as presented. Seconded by Steve Bradbery. Approved unanimously.
3. Consider action for the Sierra Vista Section 4A Final Plat. Steven Byrum-Bratsen made a motion to
approve the Sierra Vista Section 4A Final Plat. Seconded by Les Hosey. Approved unanimously.
4. Consider action for the Sierra Vista Section 4B Final Plat. Les Hosey moved to approve the Final Plat.
Seconded by Steve Bradbery. Approved unanimously.
5. Consider action for Sterling Lakes Section 13 Final Plat. No action taken.
6. Consider action for Primrose Estates Section I Preliminary Plat. Steve Bradben’ moved to accept
Section 1 of Primrose Estates. Seconded by Les Hosey. Approved unanimously.
7. Consider action for variance requests for Iowa Heights Final Plat. Les Hosey made a motion contingent
that drainage plans are submitted and they are approved for plat description and they agree with placing a
fence on the South and \Vest boundan line. Also, that they pay the installment of the street light and the
City will take over operation expenses. Seconded by Steve Bradbeiy. Motion approved with three Ayes to
one Naye. Steven Byrum-Bratsen voted against the motion.
8. Consider action for Meridiana Detention Reserves N&O Final Plat. Steven Byrurn- Bratsen moved to
approve the final plat as presented. Seconded by Les Hosey. Approved unanimously.
9. Consider action for a variance request for Meridiana Section 59 Preliminan Plat. Les Hoscy moved to
approve the variance request including the acceptance if the fire lane moved to an adjacent street
intersection. Seconded by Steven Byrum-Bratsen. Approved unanimously.
10. Consider action for Meridiana Section 59 Preliminary Plat. Steve Bradbery made a motion to approve
the plat with the variance exception as noted.
II .Being no further business, Les Hosey moved to adjourn. Seconded by Steve Bradbeiy. Approved
unanimously.

COLONY WILL HOLD A WORKSESSION AT 6:00 P.M. AND A REGULAR MEETING AT 7:00
P.M. ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 7,2018, AT IOWA COLONY CITY HALL, 12003 IOWA COLONY
BOULEVARD (CR. 65) IOWA COLONY, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISCUSSING AND IF
APPROPRIATE, TAKE ACTION WITH RESPECT TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.
