CITY OF JAMESTOWN CITY COUNCIL BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING JULY 29, 2025 The budget meeting was called to order by Mayor Heinrich at 12:01 P.M. Members Present: Mayor Heinrich, Council Members Kamlitz, Phillips, Schloegel and Steele, Assistant City Attorney Geroux, and City Administrator Hellekson. Staff Present: Blackmore, Edinger, Fosse, Hilgemann, Laber, Lipetzky, Michel, O’Neill, Reuther, Stroh and Veil. Mayor Heinrich reviewed the General Fund Revenue line items. Council Member Kamlitz moved to recommend increasing the Tobacco and Fireworks license fees to $250.00. Seconded by Steele. Deputy Auditor Veil provided information. 4 ayes, 1 nay. Carried. Discussion was held relating to the General Fund Expenses. Building Inspector Blackmore, Fire Chief Reuther, Public Works Director Michel, Civic Center Director Fosse, Police Chief Edinger, City Street Foreman Lipetzky, and City Administrator Hellekson provided information. Council Member Schloegel exited the meeting at 2:08 P.M. Council Member Steele moved to recommend to send the preliminary budget to the City Council August 4, 2025, for approval as revised today. Seconded by Phillips. Roll called showed: 4 ayes, 0 nays and 1 absent. The next City Council Budget Committee meeting is Monday, August 4, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. in City Hall.
