COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL MARCH 3, 2020 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday March 3, 2020 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese, Attorney Doug Atz, Council Member Steven Clouse, Council Member Amy Ballard, and MYAC Member Kyle Blackburn. Council Member Jim Dazey was absent. Others present were: Brad & Kelly Graden, Doug Davis, Keith Ballard, Chuck Drozy, Brian Leary, Bob & Cindy Rawsom, Tamara & Michael Shank, Patrick Shank, Roger Thon, Richard Miller, Mark Doulkt, Zack Brown, Thomas Conley, James McRoberts, Sarah McRoberts, Grace Ratliff, Dawn Bowers, Bob Gamble, Nathaniel & Megan Nickles, Donald Stewart, Lisa Chapman, Tony Duehmig, Megan Sutton, Bill & Delores Forbes, Logan Conley, Kaila Murk, Kelly Oliver Krider, Katie Ritchie, Jeremy McKinley, Rob Wiley, Jim Pankop, Scott & Shelly Mosley, and Scott & Deb Derby. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the February 18, 2020 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Steven Clouse made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe assisted Nathaniel Nickels in his swearing in as a patrolman to our police department. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe called forward all the Citizen Academy graduates that were in attendance: Dawn Bowers, Logan Conley, Delores Forbes, Brad & Kelly Graden, Kaila Murk, and Kelly Oliver Krider. Each graduate was presented with a plaque and gave a brief statement on what their favorite part of the academy was. The Leidy family and William Halt were absent. The aviation minutes for January were presented for review. ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Amy Ballard presented bills and claim numbers 65158 through 65244 for $485,913.04 for approval. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Regan Ford. The motion passed 4 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe adjourned the meeting at 7:10 P.M. ________________________________________________ Kathren R.
