JULY 7, 2020 -7:00 P.M.
The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday March 3, 2020 at 7:00 P.M.
Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese,
Council Member Jim Dazey, Attorney Doug Atz, Council Member Steven Clouse, Council Member Amy Ballard. MYAC
Member Kyle Blackburn was absent.
Others present were: Jim Pankop, Lance Waters, Jeremy McKinley, Andy Barrand- KPC, Gary Gatman- NCEDE, Katie
Ritchie, and Scott Derby.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance.
MINUTES/ MEETING
Minutes from the June 16, 2020 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Jim Dazey made
a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Steven Clouse. The motion passed 5 ayes – 0 nays.
PETITIONS OR COMMENTS
Council Member Steven Clouse congratulated the graduating class of 2020 on their hard work and endurance through a
challenging year due to COVID-19.
MAYOR
Noble County EDC Presentation
Executive Director, Gary Gatman, gave a presentation on the 2020 priorities of the Noble County Economic Development
Corporation.
CLERK TREASURER
2020 Title VI Implementation Plan
Clerk Treasurer, Katie Ritchie, presented the 2020 Title VI Implementation Plan for review. Council Member Jim Dazey
made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Regan Ford. The motion passed 5 ayes – 0 nays.
PARK
The June 8, 2020 Park minutes were presented for review.
OLD BUSINESS
General Ordinance #1223/ Solid Waste- 3rd Reading
Council Member Jim Dazey requested the third reading of General Ordinance #1223 in title only. Attorney Doug Atz read
General Ordinance #1223 in title only. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council
Member Steven Clouse. The motion passed 5 ayes – 0 nays.
ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS
Council Member Jim Dazey presented bills and claim numbers 66017 through 66146 for $1,067,128.22 for approval.
Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Amy
Ballard. The motion passed 5 ayes-0 nays.
MOTION TO ADJOURN
Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe adjourned the meeting at
7:30 P.M.
