The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday October 6, 2020 at 7:00 P.M.
Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey
Boese, Council Member Jim Dazey, Attorney Doug Atz, Council Member Steven Clouse via telephone,
Council Member Amy Ballard. MY AC Member Kyle Blackbum was absent.
Others present were: Andy Barrand- KPC News, Lance Waters, Katie Ritchie, Brad Graden, Jim Pankop, Ron
Stanley, Todd & Sheryl Hanes, Jeremy McKinley, and Terry Longsworth.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance.
MINUTES/ MEETING
Minutes from the September 15, 2020 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member
Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 5
ayes - 0 nays.

No petitions or comments were given.

September 14, 2020 Park minutes were presented for review.

General Ordinance #1220/ Crematory-1st Reading
Council Member Jim Dazey requested the 151 reading of G.O #1220/ Crematory in title only. Attorney Doug
Atz read G.O. #1220 in title only. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from
Council Member Regan Ford. The motion passed 5 ayes - 0 nays.
General Ordinance #1225/ Annexation- 2nd Reading
Council Member Jim Dazey requested the 2nd reading of G.O #1225/ Annexation in its entirety. Attorney Doug
Atz read G.O #1225 in its entirety. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from
Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 5 ayes - 0 nays.

Council Member Jim Dazey requested the 3rd reading of S.O #1569/ 202 l Budget in title only. Attorney Doug

Council Member Regan Ford. The motion passed 5 ayes - 0 nays.

read S.O #1570 in title only. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council
Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 5 ayes - 0 nays.
ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS
Council Member Jim Dazey presented bills and claim numbers 66692 through 66817 for $773,976.61 for
approval. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council
Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 5 ayes-0 nays.
MOTION TO ADJOURN
Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe adjourned the
meeting at 7: 17 P.M.
