COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL FEBRUARY 1, 2022 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday February 1, 2022 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Jim Dazey, Attorney Jacob Atz filling in for Attorney Doug Atz, Council Member Shari Targgart, and MYAC Member Ryan Norden. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Lance Waters, Jeremy McKinley, Dawn McGahen, Brian Strange, Scott Derby, and Joe McQueen- KPC News. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the January 18, 2022 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Regan Ford. The motion passed 3 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR KLDC Annual Report- Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe announced that the annual report would be given by Jerry Steinbarger at the next Council Meeting. The December 2021 Aviation Minutes were presented for review. PARK The 2021 annual report was presented for review ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council President Jim Dazey presented bills and claim numbers 70388 through 70480 for $1,105,600.12for approval. Council President Jim Dazey made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Shari Targgart. The motion passed 3 ayes-0 nays. Council President Jim Dazey wished everyone safe travels and Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe asked the public to please be watchful to social media concerning snow routes with the incoming snowstorm. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
