COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL APRIL 5, 2022 -7:00 P.M. Council President Jim Dazey recognized the public hearing for the Historic Preservation District. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday April 5, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese, Council Member Jim Dazey, Attorney Jacob Atz, and Council Member Amy Ballard. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Shari Targgart, and MYAC Member Ryan Norden were absent. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Lance Waters, Steve Garbacz- KPC, Kristen Johnson, Jeremy McKinley, Cindy Marple, Jerry Kessler, Scott Derby, Dawn McGahen, Jerry Steinbarger & Wife. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the March 15, 2022 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 3 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR Council President Jim Dazey read the Sexual Assault Awareness Month Proclamation. CLERK TREASURER Resolution #1089/ Transfer CDBG Council Member Regan Ford requested the reading of Resolution #1089 in its entirety. Attorney Jacob Atz read Resolution #1089 in its entirety. Council Member Regan Ford made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 3 ayes – 0 nays. Resolution #1090/ Authorizing Monthly Transfers LIT Certified Shares Council Member Regan Ford requested the reading of Resolution #1090 in its entirety. ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Amy Ballard presented bills and claim numbers 70786 through 70913 for $757,028.75 for approval. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 3 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to adjourn the meeting.
