COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL AUGUST 2, 2022 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session Tuesday August 2, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe, Council Member Regan Ford, Council Member Corey Boese, Council Member Jim Dazey, Attorney Doug Atz, and Council Member Amy Ballard. Council Member Shari Targgart was absent. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Lance Waters, and Jeremy McKinley. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the July 19, 2022 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Corey Boese. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR The June 1, 2022 Aviation Minutes were presented for review. PARK The June 11, 2022 Park Board minutes were presented for review. OLD BUSINESS General Ordinance #1247/ C1B to R-1 Zoning 123 W. Rush Street- 2nd Reading Council Member Jim Dazey requested the reading of General Ordinance #1247 in its entirety. Attorney Doug Atz reading General Ordinance #1247 in its entirety. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Regan Ford. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. General Ordinance #1248/ I-1 to A Zoning- 2nd Reading Council Member Jim Dazey requested the reading of General Ordinance #1248 in its entirety. Attorney Doug Atz read General Ordinance #1248 in its entirety. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve with a second from Council Regan Ford. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. ALLOWENCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Council Member Jim Dazey presented bills and claim numbers 71700 through 71806 for $639,081.85 for approval. Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 4 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Jim Dazey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mayor SuzAnne Handshoe adjourned the meeting at 7:06 P.M. ________________________________________________ Kathren R.
