COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL JANUARY 7, 2025 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session January 7, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor Lance Waters, Council Member Amy Ballard, Council Member Shari Targgart, Council Member Corey Boese, Attorney Jacob Atz, Council Member Tara Streb, Council Member Christopher McCreery, and MYAC Member Kingston Linthicum. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Scott Derby, Matt Getts- KPC News, Patrick Howell, Dawn McGahen, April Waters, and John & Janel Dixon. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the December 17, 2024 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Corey Boese made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 5 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR Appointments Mayor Lance Waters reappointed the following people to The Redevelopment Commission: 1. Dennis Narkter 2. Carla Lowe 3. Jim Jarrett Mayor Lance Waters reappointed Judge Robert Probst to the Tree Commission. Council Member Amy Ballard told the Board the Council appointments would be presented at the next meeting. PARK The December 9, 2024 Park Board Minutes were presented for review. POLICE The November 2024 Police Report was presented for review. . ALLOWANCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Amy Ballard presented bills and claim numbers 78319 through 78442 for $2,689,073.62 for approval. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Tara Streb. The motion passed 5 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Corey Boese made a motion to adjourn the meeting with a second from Council Member Shari Targgart.
