COMMON COUNCIL COUNCIL CHAMBERS-CITY HALL FEBRUARY 4, 2025 -7:00 P.M. The Common Council of the City of Kendallville met in regular session February 4, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. Roll call was answered by: Mayor Lance Waters, Council Member Amy Ballard, Council Member Shari Targgart, Attorney Jacob Atz, Council Member Tara Streb, Council Member Christopher McCreery, and MYAC Member Kingston Linthicum. Council Member Corey Boese was absent. Others present were: Katie Ritchie, Scott Derby, Matt Getts- KPC News, Patrick Howell, John & Janell Dixon, Melanie Kellogg, Brian Strange, Jim Dazey, Doug Atz, Sharon Montoya, Chelsea Yoquelet, and Jeremy McKinley. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all in attendance. MINUTES/ MEETING Minutes from the January 21, 2025 Common Council meeting were presented for review. Council Member Tara Streb made a motion to approve with a second from Council Member Amy Ballard. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. PETITIONS OR COMMENTS No petitions or comments were given. MAYOR Resolution #1125/ Tax Abatement- Flint & Walling Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to accept the findings for Resolution #1125/ Tax Abatement- Flint & Walling with a second from Council Member Tara Streb. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve Resolution #1125 with a second from Council Member Shari Targgart. Mayor Lance Waters asked Attorney Jacob Atz to read Resolution #1125 in its entirety. Attorney Jacob Atz read Resolution #1125 in its entirety. The motion passed 4 ayes – 0 nays. The 2024 EDAC Report was presented for review. ALLOWANCE OF BILLS AND CLAIMS Council Member Amy Ballard presented bills and claim numbers 78556 through 78653 for $1,890,509.15 for approval. Council Member Amy Ballard made a motion to approve the bills and claims with a second by Council Member Tara Streb. The motion passed 4 ayes-0 nays. MOTION TO ADJOURN Council Member Tara Streb made a motion to adjourn the meeting with a second from Council Member Shari Targgart. Mayor Lance Waters adjourned the meeting at 7:06 P.M. ________________________________________ Kathren R.
