Village of Kohler Finance Committee Meeting January 8, 2024 Chairperson John Ewert called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Roll call was taken: John Ewert and Mike Wandschneider. Brett Edgerle was absent. Staff member present: Laurie Lindow. Public Comment – None. Approval of Meeting Minutes from December 18, 2023 – Motion by John Ewert, second by Mike Wandschneider to approve the meeting minutes from December 18, 2023. Motion carried. Business 1. Review and approve December claims list – Motion by Michael Wandschneider, second by John Ewert to approve the December claims list. Motion carried. 2. Review and recommend: a. Village Hall Flooring Quote – Gerhartz Decorating has completed the removal of wallpaper and wall repair in the Village Hall. The walls were primed, textured and painted, now the flooring needs to be installed. Three quotes were obtained to replace flooring throughout the Village Hall with commercial vinyl plank flooring. The quotes also include prep work, thresholds and vinyl base. Motion by John Ewert, second by Michael Wandschneider to recommend Village Board approve quote from Dulmes Décor for Village Hall Flooring for $25,746.12. Motion carried. b. December Revenue & Expense reports, bank reconciliations and journal entries – Motion by Michael Wandschneider, second by John Ewert to recommend Village Board approve December Revenue & Expense reports. Motion carried. c. Ordinance No. 2024-1, Sewer Service Charges and Billing – When Ehlers Associates completed a sewer study in 2021, they recommended 12% increase for January 1, 2022 and continuing each year through January 1, 2025. Motion by John Ewert, second by Michael Wandschneider to recommend Village Board approve Ordinance No. 2024-1, Sewer Service Charges and Billing. Motion carried.
