Village of Kohler Finance Committee Meeting April 15, 2024 Chairperson John Ewert called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Roll call was taken: John Ewert, Mike Wandschneider and Brett Edgerle. Staff members present: Shawn Splivalo and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from March 11, 2024 – Motion by Mike Wandschneider, second by Brett Edgerle to approve the meeting minutes from March 11, 2024. Motion carried. Business 1. Review and approve March claims list – Motion by Mike Wandschneider, second by Brett Edgerle to approve the March claims list. Motion carried. 2. Review and recommend: a. Hiring of Lifeguards – Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Wandschneider to recommend the Village Board approve hiring the lifeguards as presented. Motion carried. b. Hiring Summer Grass Cutters – Motion by Brett Edgerle, second by Mike Wandschneider to recommend the Village Board approve hiring the summer grass cutters as presented. Motion carried. c. Ordinance No. 2024-4, An Ordinance Amending Section 18.04.020 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Annual Industrial Building Permit – Motion by John Ewert, second by Mike Wandschneider to recommend the Village Board approve Ordinance No. 2024-4, An Ordinance Amending Section 18.04.020 of the Municipal Code of the Village of Kohler, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, Annual Industrial Building Permit. A roll call vote was taken: John Ewert – aye, Mike Wandschneider – aye, Brett Edgerle – aye. Motion carried. d. Resolution No. 2024-2, A Resolution Amending the Fee Schedule, Annual Industrial Building Permit – Motion by Mike Wandschneider, second by Brett Edgerle to recommend the Village Board approve Resolution No. 2024-2, A Resolution Amending the Fee Schedule, Annual Industrial Building Permit. Motion carried. e. Proposal to upgrade access control panels and software for the Village Hall and Fire Department – Motion by John Ewert, second by Brett  Edgerle to recommend the Village Board approve the proposal from Specht Electric and Communications to upgrade the access control panels and software for the Village Hall and Fire Department using ARPA funds, cost $15,275. Motion carried. f. March Revenue & Expense reports, bank reconciliations and journal entries – Motion by John Ewert, second by Mike Wandschneider to recommend the Village Board approve the March Revenue & Expense reports, bank reconciliations and journal entries. Motion carried. g. Police Department Update – Shawn provided an update.
