Planning Commission

Village of Kohler Planning Commission Meeting November 14, 2024 Chairperson Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, Lee Gumm, Thomas Kramer, Mike Zimmermann, and Paul Bonack were present. Jay Hoekstra and Mike Wandschneider were absent. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Laurie Lindow. Approval of Meeting Minutes from October 10, 2024 – Motion by Thomas Kramer, second by Mike Zimmermann to approve the meeting minutes from October 10, 2024. Motion carried. Business 1. Consider request from Bill and Lisa Witwer, 453 Hill Street, for a building permit for a shed – The request is for a 4’ x 8’ shed in the far back corner of the backyard lot set on a slab. The shed meets code and setbacks and has Kohler Co approval. Motion by Lee Gumm, second by Mike Zimmermann to approve request from Bill and Lisa Witwer, 453 Hill Street, for a building permit for a shed. Motion carried. 2. Review and recommend issuing a building permit for chiller room and enclosure at Kohler Co. Riverbend – The site plan has been reviewed and the enclosure will be near the driveway. The enclosure will be 8’ 8” tall which is allowed in commercial zoning. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Thomas Kramer to approve a building permit for an enclosure at Kohler Co. Riverbend. Motion carried. 3. Consider request from Michael and Kerry Lisanti for a building permit for a new home on Lot 24 in The Clearings Subdivision – the proposed home meets residential building code and setbacks. Motion by Mike Zimmermann, second by Lee Gumm to approve the request from Michael and Kerry Lisanti for a building permit for a new home on Lot 24 in The Clearings Subdivision. Motion carried.
