Village of Kohler Planning Commission April 3, 2025 Chairperson Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, Jay Hoekstra, Mike Zimmermann, Paul Bonack, Lee Gumm and Thomas Kramer were present. Mike Wandschneider was absent. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow, Valerie Wandschneider and Cindi Gamb. Public Comment – none. Approval of Meeting Minutes from March 6, 2025 – Motion by Jay Hoekstra, second by Lee Gumm to approve the meeting minutes from March 6, 2025. Motion carried. Business 1. Request from Troy and Debra King for a Building Permit for a New home on Lot 27 in The Clearings Subdivision – Mike Kitzerow reviewed the plans. Kohler Co. has approved and the home meets the Village setback requirements and square footage. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by TJ Kramer to approve the request from Troy and Debra King for a building permit for a new home on Lot 27 in The Clearings Subdivision. Motion carried. 2. Request from Randy and Joely Buss for a Building Permit for a New home on Lot 48 in The Clearings Subdivision – Mike Kitzerow reviewed the plans. Kohler Co. has approved and the home meets the Village setback requirements and square footage. Motion by Jay Hoekstra, second by Mike Zimmermann to approve the request from Randy and Joely Buss for a building permit for a new home on Lot 48 in The Clearings Subdivision. Motion carried. 3. Request from Mark Ludorf, 517 East Riverside Drive, for a Building Permit to Convert Garage into Living Space – Mike Kitzerow reviewed the plans and Kohler Co. has approved. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Jay Hoekstra to approve the request from Mark Ludorf, 517 East Riverside Drive, for a building permit to convert garage into living space. Motion carried. 4. Request from Kohler Co. for a Building Permit for a Fence at Flora Fields – the fence will be a 36” high split rail fence at Flora fields. This lot is zoned commercial. Motion by TJ Kramer, second by Mike Zimmermann to recommend the Village Board approve the request from Kohler Co. for a building permit for a fence at Flora Fields. Motion carried. 5. Request from Kohler Co. for a Building Permit for a Spa at the Sports Core – the Kohler Co. withdrew their request. Adjourn Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Mike Zimmermann to adjourn the meeting at 4:35 p.m. Motion carried. ______________________________ Cindi Gamb, Clerk/Treasurer
