Village of Kohler Planning Commission Meeting September 4, 2025 Chairperson Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, Jay Hoekstra, Lee Gumm, Paul Bonack, Thomas Kramer, Mike Wandschneider and Lori Noonan were present. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Public comment – none. Approval of Joint Planning Commission and Village Board Meeting Minutes from August 7, 2025 – Motion by TJ Kramer, second by Lee Gumm to approve the meeting minutes from August 7, 2025. Motion carried. Business 1. Request from Grace Church for a Temporary Sign – sandwich board sign will only be out on Sunday mornings during services. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Mike Wandschneider to approve the request from Grace Church for a temporary sign. Motion carried. 2. Request from Kohler Co. for a Temporary Sign - Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Lee Gumm to deny the fence screening signage at Woodlake Market because it is not in accordance with the sign Ordinance, size is too large and the time is longer than 90-days. Motion carried. Motion by Lee Gumm, second by TJ Kramer to approve the temporary construction directional signage at Woodlake Market for 90-days. Motion carried. 3. Request from T-Mobile for a Permanent Sign – request was not received. No action taken. 4. Request from Peter and Erin Schueller, 838 Briarwood Court, for a Swimming Pool, Poolhouse and Screen Porch – Motion by Lee Gumm, second by TJ Kramer to approve the request for a building permit from Peter and Erin Schueller, 838 Briarwood Court, for a swimming pool, poolhouse and screen porch. Motion carried. 5. Request from Chris Bell, for a new home on Lot 64, in The Clearings – Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Lori Noonan to approve the request for a building permit from Chris Bell, for a new home on Lot 64, in the Clearings.
