Planning Commission

Village of Kohler Planning Commission Meeting November 6, 2025 Chairperson Thomas Schnettler called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. Roll call was taken: Tom Schnettler, Jay Hoekstra, Mike Wandschneider, Paul Bonack and Lori Noonan were present. Lee Gumm and Thomas Kramer were absent. Staff members present: Mike Kitzerow and Cindi Gamb. Public comment – Ben and Ann Salzmann, 841 Briarwood Court, voiced their concerns regarding drainage issues between their property and 838 Briarwood Court, where a swimming pool is being installed. Approval of Planning Commission Meeting Minutes from October 9, 2025 – Motion by Jay Hoekstra, second by Lori Noonan to approve the meeting minutes from October 9, 2025. Motion carried. Business 1. Request from Alex and Julia Dorn for a Building Permit for a New Home on Lot 74 in The Clearings Subdivision – Motion by Mike Wandschneider, second by Lori Noonan to approve the request from Alex and Julia Dorn for a building permit for a new home on lot 74 in The Clearings subdivision. Motion carried. 2. Request from Kohler Co. for a Temporary Sign at Woodlake – informational signs for Woodlake Cold Plunge. Hole will be covered and locked for safety. Motion by Tom Schnettler, second by Mike Wandschneider to approve the request from Kohler Co. for a temporary sign at Woodlake. Motion carried. 3. Request from Kohler Co. for Temporary Signs at Inn on Woodlake – requesting temporary construction signs. Motion by Lori Noonan, second by Jay Hoekstra to approve the temporary signs at Inn on Woodlake. Motion carried.
